B.Ed candidates now eligible for primary teacher job

In a notification, the National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE) recently declared that the candidates who have acquired Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from any NCTE recognised institution will be considered for appointment as a teacher in primary schools (class I to V).

The persons appointed as a teacher have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge course in Elementary Education recognised by the NCTE within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.

The notification was issued on June 28.
