CAPFs recruitment 2019: The central government has launched a massive recruitment drive. This time, 76,578 vacancies will be filled in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). There are 54,953 vacancies for the post of Constable (General Duty). The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the recruitment process for these posts. The SSC will conduct a computer-based written examination from February 11 to March 11, 2019. CRPF has the maximum 21,566 vacancies, followed by BSF (16,984), SSB (8,546), ITBP (4,126) and Assam Rifles (3,076).
The remaining positions are in CISF and other CAPFs. 7,646 vacancies are for women and remaining 47,307 for men.
Besides that, there are 1,073 posts in various CAPFs at the level of Sub-Inspector (GD). BSF has the maximum 508 vacancies, followed by CRPF (274), SSB (206) and ITBP (85). Total 38 vacancies are for women and remaining 1,035 for men in sub-inspector rank. Direct Recruitment for these posts will be made by the SSC. The candidates have to face a written examination from March 12 to March 16, 2019.
There are also 466 vacancies of Assistant Commandant (GD) level, for which Direct Recruitment is being made through the UPSC. The UPSC Assistant Commandant (GD) written examination result to fill these posts has been declared on January 10, 2019. The candidates who have been shortlisted will appear for Physical/Medical Examination. Physical/Medical Examination will be conducted by the Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) from February 25, 2019 onwards.
There are also 20,086 vacancies for Promotional posts and in other cadres such as Tradesman/Ministerial/Medical/Paramedical/Communication/ Engineering, etc. These posts are also being filled by the CAPFs. Adding up all these posts, there are 76,578 vacancies that are being filled.
The candidates for the Constable (General Duty) and Sub-Inspector (GD) have to apply through SSC official website, ssc.nic.in. For the posts of Assistant Commandant (GD), the candidates have to apply through the UPSC official websites: UPSC.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.
