Indian Railways will launch a massive recruitment drive soon to fill up vacancies in various categories. Railway will publish an advertisement in this regard in Employment News on February 23, 2019. This is the first phase of the recruitment drive that the national transporter announced earlier. In this phase, Indian Railways will fill up 1,30,000 vacant posts. For the first time, there will be reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates.
The candidates for the first tranche of recruitments will be able to do registration from February 28, 2019.
Traffic Assistant, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master, etc.
Registration for the next tranche of recruitment will start from March 4, 2019.
Health & Malaria Inspector, Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Lab Superintendent, Lab Assistant, etc.
Registration for Ministerial and Isolated Categories like Stenographer, Chief Assistant, Junior Translator (Hindi), etc, will start from March 8, 2019. The candidates will be able to register online. SC, ST, OBC (non creamy layer) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates, besides persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Ex-Serviceman (ExSM), will have reservation.
There will reservation available for Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA).
The vacancies will be available on Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) websites once online registration opens for the respective category. However, the vacancies of Level-1 will be available on Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) website. Applications will be accepted online only.
