Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Thursday launched the FitKVian app for the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Swasth Bachche — Swasth Bharat Programme. Nearly 12.5 lakh children across 1,196 Kendriya Vidyalayas will be covered through this app. The app will facilitate fitness assessment, capturing real-time data.
The app will have interfaces for different stakeholders (KVS HQ, ZIETs, Ros, schools, parents) and analytics. With this app benchmarking will become easy and accurate, HRD Ministry said.
While addressing the KVS-NVS National Principals’ Conference, Javadekar hailed Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS) as role models for the government school system in India.
He said teaching should become a profession of choice, not the last option. Javadekar said that the government was introducing a four-year integrated B.Ed course in the coming academic year.
The process of downloading the app is very easy.
1. A student may go to Google Play
2. Seach for FitKVian
3. Here it can be downloaded and installed providing details
KVS had earlier asked asking principals, teachers and students of its schools to use the Kaizala application for effective communication.
Microsoft had launched Kaizala in July 2017 — a productivity application for large-group communication and work management. The app also works well on 2G networks.
