UGC NET registration 2019: Online registration for the UGC NET will begin from tomorrow (March 1) by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA UGC NET exam will be conducted between June 20 and June 28. The results of the UGC NET exam will be released by July. The applicants will be able to submit their application till March 30.
UGC NET is the eligibility test for the posts of Assistant Professor and JRF. The candidates may visit ugcnetonline.in for detailed syllabus of UGC NET. The test will consist of two papers – conducted in a single three-hour duration. The candidates will be able to download admit card for the UGC NET exam on May 15, 2019. Some changes has been introduced in the exam pattern and 30 minutes break between paper 1 and paper 2 has been done away with.
This time no optional questions will be there unlike earlier when candidates were allowed to choose 50 out of 60 questions in paper 1. The candidates have to attempt all the 50 questions.
Earlier, CBSE would conduct the UGC NET. The government, last year formed NTA as a testing agency to conduct entrance tests for admission to higher educational institutions. NTA conducts NET, JEE Main, NEET, among other exams.
